Welcome to the website of Warrington Conservative Future, home to Warrington's young Conservatives, committed to positive action. We're open to those aged 12 - 30 so don't delay, join today!

Warrington Conservative Future (WCF) represents young Conservatives from across the town’s two constituencies.

As Chairman of WCF, I’m proud of the way we have developed since 2010. We’ve experienced growth in both members and activity, with more and more young people joining, eager to play their part and meet like-minded individuals. It’s great to see that people are willing to get involved and help out in their community, despite the difficult situation our country is facing.

Politics gets a lot of bad press these days, and the same old image of one side being happiest when attacking or gloating at the other only serves to further turn people away. We're not about that. In WCF we believe that politics is about the positive difference you make, not taking whatever chance you can to do down others. Ever since helping to get David Mowat elected as the new MP for Warrington South on May 6th 2010, we’ve engaged in all sorts of positive action which helps the town we were brought up in. We’ve taken part in various community events, such as stewarding at Disability Awareness Day (the largest event of its kind in Europe) for the past few years, and will continue to do so. We’ve held community clean-ups, raised funds for the poppy appeal, and are always supporting local charities such as Brainwave and Warrington Disability Partnership.

As well as helping in the community directly, we offer our support to the dedicated team of Conservative Councillors and candidates who continue to work hard in their wards. Through doing this we ensure a greater chance of a stronger voice at the Town Hall, and help members to develop more than just campaigning skills. WCF members have stood for election to Warrington Borough Council themselves in the past few years, and will be doing so next time round! Proving that this is a great way to get involved and better your community.

In addition to all of this, we hold socials on a regular basis, after all we believe this has got to be as social as it is political! They are a good chance to reflect on how things are in general, and the perfect place for anyone interested to find out more about who we are.

The Conservative Future movement is all about involving young people in politics and addressing the issues that matter to them. Through being an open, outward-looking, community-minded group of individuals, we can prove that young people can have a say in the party and the direction in which we move.

WCF is always open to new members, and I hope you'll become the latest to join.

Best wishes

Sam Baxter
